I would not recommend this brand., January 7, 2012 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Diamondback Impression Girl's Bike (20-Inch Wheels) (Sports) A friend of mine recommended this brand and that is why I got it, but I wouldn't recommend it. It came in a box requiring some basic assembly, but there were a few problems:
-The thread for one of the 4 screws that hold the handle bar wasn't made correctly so the screw couldn't be tightened.
-There is something wrong with the bearing in the front fork, so the handle bar doesn't turn smoothly and I'm afraid that it might get stuck while my 7 years old daughter is riding the bike.
-The pedals turn, but they were hard, the chain was too tense, I had to adjust that, but the mechanism for the pedals itself isn't smooth; they have a lot of resistance.
And the 4th problem I had, probably what bothers me the most, Is the poor customer service from the manufacturer. I called with these issues and a very arrogant guy, with a lot of attitude, told me that the bicycle needs to be assembled by a professional and to take it to a bicycle shop. That is ridicules, I...
