Pop Star Bike, January 9, 2010 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Huffy Pop Star AMP Bike, Red/White, 20-Inch (Sports) This bike is so adorable once it is put together. However, we never got the handbrake attached! The instructions are confusing from the start and written in tiny font. It actually worked out though since my daughter was just learning to ride a 2 wheeler and did not need the confusion of the handbrakes - she just uses the pedal brake and it is fine! A great bike for the money! And it also comes with a little MP3 portable speaker in the bag on the handlebars! It is crappy quality but fine for an 8 year old!

My daughter (9 years) loves it, which is just about the right size. With a little adjustment, she can certain ride it for a couple of years until she is ready for a 24inch. The assembling process was largely fine. Like other reviewers said, attaching the hand brake cable takes a little figuring out because the instruction is basically useless. You'd need to loose the screw at the wheel end so that you can extract the cable at the other end long enough to insert into the handle base. Then you need to adjust the length before you can re-tighten the screw to secure the cable in place. There was a major problem when I tried to assemble mine, which could be unique. For the most part, everything was fine, until the very last step, the left paddle. I installed the right paddle without a problem, simply twist it in with a wrench.
