Schwinn Boy's Scorch Bicycle, October 18, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Schwinn Boy's Scorch Bicycle (Red) (Sports) If in doubt, BUY IT. We bought the bike as a birthday present for our 3 year old grandson and he loves it. Warning ... the instructions are explicit as to how to put the bike together .... but there is no explanation telling us how to get the birthday boy OFF THE BIKE. He's happpy; we're happy!

It's a Schwinn, how bad could it be??? I am glad I ordered it. This bike is extremely well made. Much better quality than what I expected based on the reviews. It was easy to put together and my grandson was on it within an hour! He was so excited. I don't know what one of the other reviewers meant by it being hard to pedal, I just made sure that he brakes were set so they were not touching the wheel. If you're looking for a great bike for a boy, look no farther. This is it!

This was new? I think not!, December 22, 2011 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Schwinn Boy's Scorch Bicycle (Red) (Sports) Please note that this review is geared more toward the shipping of this bike and it being damaged and Amazon's odd handling of it. The bike itself seems to be a great bike now that it has been repaired.
I ordered this as a NEW bike. However when I received it the box was in extremely bad condition. There where two areas on either side where handles once were. Those had been ripped, creating holes easily 5-6 inches. There were other smaller holes all over the box. Upon opening the box box I quickly realized that it had been previously opened. The large staples had already been pulled out and the top flaps of the box were reversed. What was suppose to be the top flap of the box was on the inside. Even after seeing the condition of the box I decided to open it up and at the very least make sure all of the parts where there.
